Hey, before we go through this razer chimaera review, I wanted to introduce myself so here goes; my name is Dan at the age of 8, I was given my first PC game, and I was hocked from there on I become a hardcore gamer, and if you are one you know that every hardcore gamer need he’s gear.
Back to our time, 2 months ago, I had my Razer Megalodon Ruined by getting the wire tangled up with itself this annoyed and disappointed me, considering I only had them for a year. But I realized that wired headphones are not for me, so I started looking for a new PC headphones, and in the same time I also wanted a xbox360 headphones not wanting, and really not having 400$ to burn on two sets of high quality headphones one for each device, I found the razer chimaera a perfect match for me, read this razer chimaera review to find out my experience.

The Razer Chimaera is a high end wireless headphones designed and produced by razer targeting xbox360 players, but the wireless headphones themselves will also work on the PC or just watching Tv.

The Razer Chimaera is a stereo wireless headset designed by razer a few years ago, but a few months ago razer released the razer chimaera 5.1 which is a total improvement to their wireless flag ship the razer chimera.
The razer chimaera 5.1 is a great deal better and has tons of better quality improvements, whether it is sound channels, blocking sound from the outside or improved battery life. In addition to that, the razer chimaera 5.1 comes with a option to upgrade to cool mass effect 3 edition with read lights, and slightly different look which I really love.
On a small note, I will be saying the name razer chimaera a lot through this razer chimaera review, but i actually will be talking about the razer chimaera 5.1 only because that’s the one I own
if you’re looking to buy the chimaera without the 5.1 upgrade, I will advise you not to, but you can still read this razer chimaera review and get an idea of how your new headphones should be like.

The Razer Chimaera has a tight grip on your head this with the way the headphones built allows you to simply hear nothing of your surrounding and just focus completely on your game/song/TV show. show.
I managed “to not hear with it” screaming kids who came to visit, little sister who decided its time to play let’s dance on full volume and my lovely boxer dog fanatic barking in mating season, all in all,I would say they pass the test.

The main Reason I bought the headphones was to get myself wireless headphones for both my xbox 360 and my PC without the need to pay twice and that worked great but I later found out the I can also use it to watch TV and movies with as much
volume as I want without getting shouts from people around the house to turn it down a notch which was pretty awesome too.

The battery life was exactly has described, 8 hours, but it wasn’t enough for a guy who spends something like 16 hours a day on the computer, so I had to go out and get a charger and another set of batteries,
which is actually isn’t a bad thing after all they delivered what they promised, and changing the batteries is a piece of cake. Getting the batteries was pretty easy to, because it’s simply 2 AAA batteries
Razer Chimaera Review – Tight
Because the way the wireless headphones are built, they sit really tight around your head to prevent any sound from ruining your gaming/watching experience, at the beginning the razer chimaera was just too tight for me, and it tock me one week to get completely used to them, the good new are, that when you do get used to them you won’t feel them any more.
